Study on the transformation of Kortgene. JoustraReid architects carried this study out in collaboration with lab03. The study looks at development of the existing rural settlement of Kortgene. In the Zeeland region the population is decreasing and becoming more elderly as younger generations seek employment in the urban areas of the Netherlands.

The study focuses on the actual situation of Kortgene in an attempt to understand its identity and use this as a tool in the planning of future transformations.

The study was carried out in consultation with local residents, the council Noord Beveland and stakeholders from the housing and care sectors.
